- Cheshire Cup Round 3 – Year 7 Girls Football HOME v Beech Hall (Meet at Medwyn Jones Changing rooms at 13:45pm, approx. finish 16:00pm – selected pupils only).
Sporting Round Up (W/B 4th December)
Cornovii Cup – Year 8 – 11 Swimming Gala v Brine Leas HOME
Tuesday saw our first of many, annual Swimming gala against Brine Leas for the Cornovii Cup. It was a fantastic event with a great atmosphere. Both teams wanted to win and gain those all important points towards the Cornovii Cup. Pupils from both schools across Year 8 – 11 took part, in all individual races, a relay medley and a freestyle relay. Two girls and two boys from each year group represented their school the 2 individual races and a relay.
The results are as follows; Year 8 unfortunately lost with Brine Leas taking the win. Year 9, 10 and 11 all won against Brine Leas. From this Alsager gained 32 points, and Brine Leas gaining 16 points. Therefore, taking the current Cornovii Cup points to Alsager – 139, Brine Leas – 99.
There were some excellent performances across all year groups. Most notable performances of the night were all of the relay events; there were some incredible races, and some close finishes, with lots of excitement and cheering going on from the sides. It was great to see! well done to everyone that participated! Thank you as well to Sam and the Everybody Leisure Centre for hosting.
Year 9 Intercollege Football
Unfortunately, due to the bad weather and a frozen astro-turf Year 9 intercollege football was postponed.

Sporting honours can now be found on our new PEPA (PE and Performing Arts) Spotlights – this will be shared bi-weekly, alongside the weekly sporting round up.
