School Production

High School Musical – December 2025

Students and staff worked tirelessly over the autumn term to ensure the school production of High School Musical was a success, living up to the expectations of previous years when we have showcased Shrek, Little Shop of Horrors, Annie and Beauty and the Beast.

The three evening showings were exceptional with a full house of families, friends, students and teachers watching the talented students perform on stage and in the orchestra.

From Sharpay’s sparkles to Mrs Darbus’ ‘Grand musicale’, the students were very well cast, with Mrs O’Neill commenting to Year 11 student, Keira W (Sharpay), on the final night: “I’m not sure if you were made for that role or if that role was made for you!

Serena, a member of the cast,  discussed her experience of being part of the show:

In High School Musical, we have now done all our shows. The cast were amazing in the show! I enjoyed seeing Sharpay, played by Keira W, getting cake dumped on her. The cast worked very hard and rehearsed every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 5 o’clock. We even did a full day rehearsal on the 9th of December to help solidify the performance by ironing out any last imperfections. One of the best parts of the show was seeing the audience smiling at all the amazing tricks and talented acting and singing from our cast.

A huge thank you goes out to the staff who made the show happen: Mr Blythe, Mr Pratt, Mrs Wise, Mrs Holland, Mr Leighton, Mrs Heath, Mrs Lang, Miss Green, Miss Bethwaite and all other staff who supported backstage and on the evening of the shows.
