On Thursday 21st September Alsager School will be hosting a ‘Prepare to Perform’ evening for GCSE students and their parents/guardians. The event will take place across the school site, with a variety of interactive activities encompassing all aspects of GCSE exam preparation. It will enable parents and students to meet subject teachers and learn about effective revision strategies & online platforms. There are additional workshops on mindfulness, exercise and healthy eating.
Alongside subject staff, Year 12 students will be on hand to share the strategies they found most useful when preparing for exams last year and parents of past Year 11 students will be available to offer advice, parent-to-parent.
The event will start at 4pm and run until 6pm. There is no expectation to stay for the full 2 hours, it is a drop-in evening. If you are unable to attend, please encourage your child to still come to the event. Students will be given a revision pack on entry to support them in their preparation for forthcoming exams.
This has always been a well-attended evening and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive – from both students and parents.
We look forward to seeing you there.
