There will be an itinerary planning meeting for all the students participating in the expedition on Tuesday 10th December starting at 2.10pm. The students, together with the staff travelling with them, will be planning a number of aspects of the trip.
These will include, not only the trekking aspect, where there is an opportunity to ascend Mount Toubkal the highest peak in North Africa, but also visits to Marrakech, the Cascade D’Ouzoud and the medina of Essaouira. They will also choose the project in which they will participate which are a choice of school developments projects located on the edge of the Sahara.
Parents are also invited to attend the last part of the planning session where they will be able to ask the Outlook Expedition staff questions about the trip.
In the new year there will be further planning meetings as well as a weekend in the Peak District where the students will get the opportunity to camp, cook and also be provided with practical advice about trekking. Information will be released about this in due course.
Any parent wishing to attend the last part of the planning session can please you be at the school reception for 5pm.
