We were delighted to celebrate the success of our Class of 2025 at our GCSE Awards event yesterday. Students in Year 12 of our Sixth Form College, along with year group members who have moved on to other education and training providers, gathered in Hollinshead Hall to collect their exam certificates and find out who had won the subject awards and our five special award trophies.
Alsager School Headteacher, Mrs O’Neill, opened the event and handed over to our fantastic Year 13 Student Leadership Team, who expertly compered the ceremony, inviting students to collect their certificates and awards, and introducing our special guest speaker, Euan O’Neill, Alsager School alumnus.
Since leaving Alsager School, Euan has studied at universities in Birmingham and Frankfurt, Germany, and now works for Network Rail in London. Euan shared how the knowledge, skills, character and resilience he gained whilst at Alsager School have helped him at every stage of his life and career.
It was a wonderful afternoon, and we were delighted to be able to welcome as many families as space would allow to celebrate with us. We would like to congratulate our Class of 2025 on their Year 11 success and look forward to sharing more news of their achievements as they progress through Sixth Form, training, higher education and beyond!
Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to our fantastic Year 13 Student Leadership Team, who ran the event yesterday and ensured everything ran smoothly and to time.
