Year 7 Virtual Parents' Evening

The Year 7 parents’ evening scheduled for Thursday 31 March 2022, 4.15pm to 7pm, will take place ‘virtually’ by video call using SchoolCloud.

We have introduced a new, easy to use online appointment booking system. This allows you to choose your own appointment times and, once booked, you will receive an email confirming your appointments.

Please visit https://alsagerschool.schoolcloud.co.uk or follow the link on our website to book your appointments and on the day to be connected over built-in video calls that will link you automatically to each subject teacher at the allocated time.

The system will open for bookings on Wednesday 16 March at 5pm and close on Wednesday 30 March 2022 at 12pm. Should you wish to make any changes after this date please contact the school.

Please note, that although appointments are on a first come first, served basis, we will make every effort to accommodate as many bookings as possible.

However, some staff teach more than one Year 7 class so if parents/carers could prioritise the subjects/teachers they wish to speak to on the evening we would be grateful.

Staff will do their best to see as many parents/carers as they can but as you can appreciate some staff may not be able to see everyone who requests an appointment.

The new system does have a waiting list, so if a slot becomes available you may be added closer to the evening to see that teacher or, if not, staff will contact you on another day at a mutually convenient time either by phone or email.

Appointment slots are 5 minutes to enable staff to speak to as many parents as possible. Using the video call system, the 5-minute slot will be automatically in place so calls will end at this point.

Timers can be seen on your screen, so you are able to communicate your messages to staff during the allocated time.

If you have a concern that requires a lengthier conversation, we request that you contact the school at a separate time.
