At the end of the summer term – and their first year at Alsager School – our current Year 7 students wrote some wonderful and very thoughtful letters to their primary schools.
This was a great opportunity to show gratitude to their former teachers, reflect on just how far they have come and all they have learned this year, and maintain those important connections.
One of the year group, Nelly N, sent her letter all the way to her former primary school in Zimbabwe, Africa! It has been lovely to learn about how different life has been for Nelly here at Alsager School. She has settled so well, and we are very proud of all her achievements. We have loved hearing how much her confidence has grown this school year. Along with her lovely letter, we also enclosed photos of Nelly outside her new school.
We hope that the letters can also be shared with the Year 6 students due to make the move up to Alsager School in September, to reassure them and show them what they too can achieve in their first year.
