Over Easter our PE department took year 8-10 students to Porto in Portugal to play football. With five teams, including one girls team for the first time, the 65 pupils had 4 training sessions working and developing all football aspects and each team played 2 games versus local opposition. The games were competitive and gave the pupils an experience of playing football on the continent.
When not training or playing the students took in a stadium tour of FC Porto, lunch in the Directors box, ten pin bowling, swimming, a FC Porto museum tour and access to the club shop. They also visited SC Brago where they watched a Primeira Liga match.
