UK Junior Mathematical Challenge

Alsager School has enjoyed great success in the UK Junior Mathematical Challenge, a national challenge with schools across the country entering their best mathematicians. To recognise the highest performers in the Challenge the UK Mathematics Trust award the top-scoring 40% of entrants bronze, silver and gold certificates in the ratio 3:2:1.

5000 of the very highest performers nationally are invited to take part in the Junior Mathematical Kangaroo.

55 students from across year 7 and 8 students were entered. It was a record year for Alsager with 19 students awarded Bronze, 11 awarded Silver and 13 awarded Gold. Futhermore, Thai Lieu, Alex Evans, Alex Saunders, Jonathan Glanville, Ella Margolan, Will Kight and James Helm were entered into the Junior Mathematical Kangaroo because of their high performance in the Challenge. Well done all!
