We proudly held our annual Summer Showcase event in which we celebrated the outstanding achievement and creativity of our musicians, artists, photographers and designers. The evening began with the Rotary Club of Alsager judging and presenting students with a Rotary Club of Alsager Art, Design and Technology Award.
Rotarian, Ian Macpherson, said: “This years standard of work produced by the students was wonderful; it was a really enjoyable evening all round”.

A wide range of musical talent was showcased featuring over 100 of our finest performers. Lower School Vocal Group wowed everyone with their singing and dancing on Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t stop the Feelin’ while the Upper School Vocal Group dazzled the crowd with their singing of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop me Now’. Both brass groups continue to go from strength to strength under the guidance of brass tutor Mr Eccles and music teacher Miss Waterhouse. Newly crowned Battle of the Bands winners, ‘Primate’ who will be playing at the Alsager Music Festival this year, stunned everyone with their latest performance. Other highlights included flautist Sophie Richardson, violinist Finn Gibson and singer/guitarist Morgan Cheadle. This year has been another very successful year in terms of the accolades won by bands at Alsager school including:
Chamber Vocal Group – Love Music Trust Choir of the Year.
The Sound Of Phoenix – Love Music Trust Battle of the Bands Winners
Mr Galley, Subject Leader for Music, said: “The concert was the last for a few of our incredibly talented year 11 and 13 musicians as they are leaving to go onto university and pastures new. A huge thank you to James Sides, Zak Bowker, Sophia Anthousis, Annalisa Morgan, Alex Bailey, Elliot Lloyd, Jakob Harper and Josh Prince who have all been involved in and starred in concerts and school shows in the last 7 years”.
Mrs Howard, Deputy Curriculum Leader for Art, Design and Technology, said: “It was a fantastic school event supported by all our staff from ADT as well as across the school. We would like to thank all the students involved and the Rotary Club for their support with prizes and taking the time to come and judge the exhibition.
