Mr Middlebrook said “We are absolutely delighted with our finished school expansion, we have gained 2 science labs, a much bigger and improved canteen, 6 new classrooms in the Parker Building and a whole new teaching block containing an exclusive 6th form area and 5 additional classrooms. All this work has improved our site enormously, given us the additional space we need to accommodate more students and created a fantastic learning environment for our young people and staff.
I would especially like to thank Cheshire East local authority for funding this expansion and for all their support throughout the project. The fundamental role for any school is to serve its local community, and Cheshire East’s investment has made sure that we can do that for the young people of Alsager.
Finally, I would like to thank all the staff involved in managing this project, especially our site, finance and catering teams. It involved a huge amount of work over the last 18 months and thanks to all our fantastic staff, disruption to the normal running of school was kept to a minimum. I must also praise our students for the manner in which they coped with so much upheaval during last year. What I can definitely say is that it was all worth it in the end!”
