MMU held a ‘Novella’ workshop in school for the ambitious and budding writers we have, in preparation for the Cheshire East Novella Competition.
The students had to create a short story, on the value of community, which could be no longer than 1500 words. Against competitors from schools all over Cheshire East, two of our students have been shortlisted, with a chance to take home this fantastic award.
Chloe Brackner and Jack Oulton worked extremely hard to produce a short novella about their community and the importance of community spirit. The award ceremony will be taking place in November, at which time they have the opportunity to win £100 prize money, as well as taking home this prestigious title. Well done, and good luck, to both of them.
