Our year 13 Health and Social Care students, plus Mrs Howard, have completed their NHS Self Care Awards training and have now become champions for Alsager School. Their job as champions will now be to provide information and promote self-care messages with students, staff and parents.
They will be looking at how they can get key messages out to a range of people that is supportive and beneficial. In the training she explained some shocking statistics about how the NHS is losing money through lost GP appointments and appointments that are unnecessary and could be dealt with via much easier, cost friendly alternatives.
All the students really enjoyed their training with Noreen Caldwell from the NHS. Look out for more messages to follow from our Self Care Champions soon in order to achieve our Bronze Award.
