It is with great sadness that we have to inform people of the passing of Mrs Penny Hough over the summer holidays. Mrs Hough had been bravely battling cancer for the last three years and throughout that difficult time she showed great character, strength and resilience. Mrs Hough’s association with Alsager goes back a long way, as a student here herself, a parent and for the last 14 years a member of staff. During that time she filled a variety of roles both in the learning support faculty and the pastoral team and as a result she touched the lives of a great many people. Colleagues, pupils and parents / carers were always impressed by Mrs Hough’s kind and caring nature, her willingness to help and go the extra mile for others.
There is a Book of Condolence available in the school’s reception for people to leave comments, memories and kind words for Mrs Hough’s family. There is also a collection box in reception for Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause that was very close to her heart.
