Four of our year 10 students recently attended a regional Maths Feast competition at Keele University designed to challenge the most able 1-2% nationwide – so it is not easy! It requires a huge amount of problem-solving, application and independence of thought. It requires a real commitment to mathematics both in and out of school.
Mr Askew said: “Out of about 30 schools in our region (including private schools) they won the competition. Not only that, but they won by a massive gap, winning every single round and achieving a perfect score in 2 rounds. We are so proud of these students”.
