Over Easter 32 students from years 10 and 11 went to Iceland. Attractions visited included The South Shore Adventure with visits to the spectacular Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss Waterfalls, the inspiring coastlines at Reynishverfi, the black sands and stacks along the coast and an amazing glacier walk on Sólheimajökull.
The Golden Circle excursion, encompassing some of Iceland’s most famous landmarks: the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, the Geysir and Strokkur geysers, and the stunning Þingvellir National Park. They also visited Iceland’s largest geothermal power station, and the second largest geothermal power station in the world.
Finally staff and students relaxed and experienced one of the world’s top spas – the Blue Lagoon for a swim in the geothermal waters.
