Recently a group of HAL ‘aiming for 9’ students visited Pikemere Primary School to deliver a workshop on the Great War for the centenary remembrance. Our students led the source-based teaching of small groups of year 5/6 pupils focusing on the nature of trench warfare.
We had fantastic engagement from the Pikemere pupils and our students said they really enjoyed the experience as it ‘made them feel like experts’.
