Dear Parent / Carer
I would like to thank you for all the continued support you are giving the school and your son / daughter as we approach the GCSE exam season. Please see the exam and revision timetable below for the GCSE season this year.
You will see that we always blend in compulsory revision / booster sessions for students during the exam season. I must stress that all the revision sessions on the programme are compulsory and are not optional.
Alongside that, regular timetabled lessons will continue as normal and if pupils are not involved in an exam or revision session, then again lessons are compulsory. However, as from Friday 8thJune, compulsory attendance at regular lessons will end and year 11 students only need to attend their respective revision sessions or exams.
We are having to organise year 11 arrangements differently than previous year’s due to the increase in the number of exams involved in these new reformed GCSEs. I hope you understand our reasons for doing so.
