We all wish our fantastic year 11 cohort of 2017 all the very best for their current exams and much happiness for the future. We hope to see many of them again next year in our 6th form.
It has been a pleasure and privilege to work with them over the last five years. We said our official ‘goodbyes’ this afternoon and enjoyed a great leavers assembly, however, all will be back after half term for more exams and there are compulsory ‘booster sessions’ for English (Monday 5th and Friday 9th June – those students who have exams on that day can attend the English boosters when they are not sitting their exam ) and Maths (Wednesday 7th and Monday 12th June – again those students who have exams on that day can attend the maths boosters when they are not sitting their exam). All the details of these ‘booster sessions’ have been sent out some time ago and are on our website.
We had to organise year 11 ‘leaving arrangements’ this way because of the exam timetable set externally by the boards. There was no clear day or morning when all the year group were not sitting an exam. Naturally, we wanted all the year group to take part and prevent leaving celebrations impacting upon their exams (English Literature was this morning). It is for this reason we had to pick this afternoon. We are all really looking forward to the year 11 prom on Friday 7th July. Thanks again the class of 2017 – enjoy half term, make sure you keep up the revision next week, you have done so well so far and not long to go now.
