The report of our Ofsted inspection on the 2nd and 3rd February has now been published and I can confirm that the school was graded as outstanding. This is brilliant news and a fantastic achievement!
The full report is attached below and what is most pleasing is that it describes our school, young people and staff perfectly. The inspection team saw our school exactly as we see it every day but please take some time to read the report. Our young people were, as always, a credit to themselves and the school. The report describes their behaviour as outstanding; “a culture of respect is tangible in this school”, “Pupils behave extremely well in all areas of the school. They are courteous and welcoming.” Once again please thank your son / daughter for their superb attitude to learning and respectful approach to staff, not just during the inspection, but every day!
The report also rightly praises our dedicated and professional staff. All the staff have worked incredibly hard over the last few years to improve our school and I am delighted that this has been ‘officially’ recognised. Teaching is described as “very high quality which leads to pupils making outstanding progress” and “very strong relationships between staff and pupils are based on mutual respect.”
Can I finally thank all parents, carers and families for your support over the last few years. I am delighted for the town of Alsager, a community with one secondary school, the fact that the high school is now outstanding (along with our high performing partner primaries) is great news for all parents / carers and families living in the area.
