Alsager School

Admissions Policy 2020-2021

We are currently consulting on some changes to our Admissions Policy 2020-2021.
If you have any feedback about these changes please email by 11th November 2018 advising if you are a parent, staff member, member of the community or other.

Alsager School is consulting on changing it’s over subscription admission’s criteria due to a major increase in housing developments in the area which in turn is placing a huge strain on school places. As a town with only one secondary school and Alsager’s population set to increase considerably as more and more housing developments are approved, the governors are consulting on changing the admissions criteria to ensure the school can meet the needs of its local community. Even with the school increasing its pupil admission number by 30 students to 265 students in September 2019, the current admissions criteria means local residents who do not attend a current feeder school are potentially unable to secure a place at their only local secondary school. ‘Feeder Schools’ continue to be part of our over subscription criteria.
