Paperless Reports

Dear Parent or Carer

Many of you are now using our parent portal, ‘Insight’, to get up-to-date information about your child: from looking at their timetable to monitoring attendance and behaviour.

As part of the ‘Insight’ system, you can view your child’s assessment and behaviour reports, which are produced every term and currently given to you in paper form.

With this in mind, from assessment point two – the first one being in January 2018 – for all students in Years 7-10, we will no longer produce paper-based reports unless requested otherwise. Instead, these will only be viewable through Insight.

All Year 11 and Sixth Form reports will continue to be paper-based but also viewable through Insight.

By moving reports wholly onto ‘Insight’, the school will save a significant sum of money through reduced printing costs. A number of schools within Cheshire East have already moved to this model of online-based reports and have found it to be successful.

Indeed, one of the benefits of moving to online-based reports is you can view an archive of all previous reports for your child. This means you no longer have to worry about keeping them safe as they’re all stored securely online.

If you want to continue receiving paper-based reports, please email paperreports@alsagerschool.org and we’ll ensure you continue to receive hard copies as before.
