Congratulations to the students who visited NULC (Newcastle-under-Lyme College) to compete in the recent FIRST LEGO League UK and Ireland regional tournament for this year’s ‘Hydro Dynamics Challenge’. There were some incredible robots, team spirit and problem solving showcased throughout the day.
Alongside the robot games, they presented to judges their own design solutions to solve real life problems; they completed a teamwork task and discussed their robot designs.
They demonstrated such a high standard of team support for each other, and other teams, that as a result, team ‘Hydrobrix’ won the core values trophy for Alsager School.
The students behaved perfectly all day, competing against teams from other schools where some of their teams were in year 11. They were complimented on their composure and enthusiasm during each task/robot game event and we are proud of them.
